A very pretty wedding was solemnised on a recent date at the Mary Queen -of Martyrs Church, May-lands, by the Rev. Father Lynch, the contracting parties being Sybil, youngest daughter o£ Mr. and Mrs. Dave Wimbridge, of Summer street, East Perth, and Thomas eldest son of the late Mr. Thomas Markey, of Meckering, and Mrs. Thomas, of Lord-street, East Perth.

The. bride, who entered the church on the arm of her brother, Mr. William Wimbridge, looked charming in a dainty frock of ivory French georgette, heavily- beaded in straight lines with moonlight and milk white bugle beads, with touches o pale pink embroidery, the court train of ivory crepe romaine being lined with silver tissue and trimmed with silver.

The bridal veil of silk net kindly lent by Mrs. Wiltshire, a very old friend) was arranged beneath a coronet of orange, blossoms and a shower bouquet of white roses and stephanotis and maiden hair fern completed her toilette.

The. bride was attended by three bridesmaids. Miss Betty Patterson look-ed charming in a dainty - frock of apricot Georgette, and gold lace and wore a bandeau of 'gold lace trimmed with apricot rosebuds' and carried a shower bouquet o.gold roses. Her gift from the bridegroom was a vanity case.

The other two attendants, Miss Winnie Hoare (niece of the bride) and Miss Kathleen Jenkin (cousin of the bride) were daintily gowned in maize Georgette over maize silk and gold lace. with mauve and pink cabochons at the waist.

They also wore bandeaux 'of gold lace trimmed with mauve and silk rosebuds and carried early Victorian posies In the same shades, and wore gold armlets, the gift of the bridegroom. There were two tiny train-bearers.

Peggy Jelb (niece of the bride) looked- pretty in cream satin Early Victorian frock and carried a posy to match, and Billy Milton (nephew of the bride) in his cream satin suit with a finishing of cream lace and silver braid, assisted. The duties of best man were capably carried out by Mr. Malcolm. Mc-Murtrie, of Victoria,

A reception was afterwards held, at Walton le Dale, West Parade, East Perth, where some 60 guests sat down to a sumptuous re past, presided over by Mr. Farr, a very old friend of the bridegroom's family, who performed his part in a very capable manner. A feature of the wed ding breakfast was the handsome cake (made, by the bridegroom's mother), which attracted favourable comment from all round the board.

Among the guests were. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. D. Wimbridge and Father Lynch. Later in the evening the couple left amidst a shower of confetti for their honeymoon. The bride's travelling dress was sax blue Georgette beaded in steel with which was worn a blue and brown shot silk coat and hat to. lone. Mr. and Mrs. Markey will in future reside in Katanning.
