      Ottaway - Pead A very pretty wedding took place at the English Church at Geraldton on 'Wednesday afternoon, July 24 the contracting parties being Mr. Alfred Ottaway who is in charge of the grocery department of Messrs. Wainwright and Co's business at Geraldton, and Miss Grace Evelyn Pead, fourth daughter of Mrs Alfred Pead of that town

      The bride, who was given away by Mr Vernon Birch, an old friend of the family looked charming indeed, becomingly gowned as she was its a dress of white satin trimmed with chiffon, and wearing a veil and wreath.

      The bride also carried an exquisitely pretty bridal bouquet. The bridesmaids were Misses Birch and Tottie Pead, a little sister of the bride. The former wore a dress of helitrope Creon, trimmed with moire silk, and cream lace, her hat being of cream lace, trimmed with helitrope ribbons, while the latter wore a dress of liberty silk, trimmed with green silk lace, and hat to match.

      The bride groom was accompanied by Mr. W. Evershed, as best man. The ceremony, which was witnessed by a large crowd of the friends and relatives of the bride and bridegroom was performed by the Rev. Canon Louch, and as the happy couple left the church they were deluged with rice, and a perfect shower of good wishes.

      Cake and wine were partaken of by the bride and bride groom and the guests at the residence of the bride's parents, shortly after which the newly married couple left for Greenough, en route to Perth, were they propose spending their honeymoon. ? Telegraph [1]
