An Old Drover
Mr James Dodd was seen a few days ago droving a flock of 400 sheep from Watheroo to Moora. It is many years since Mr Dodd began the life of a drover. His first trip was from Macintosh's place at Dandaragan to Fremantle with a man named Tom Jones.
That was in 1880. In that same year he made two trips from Dandaragan to Toodyay with stock. For a long time he was out of the saddle and when he brought the sheep safely to Moora the other day it seemed to him as if he was beginning his life afresh. |
