      (From our own Correspondent )

Since my last I have to report the particulars of a wedding which took place here recently, when Mr. C. Wheelock was united to Miss J . McJeanett in the holy bonds of matrimony. The ceremony was performed in the District Registrar's office by Mr G. Wright, and in the presence of almost thirty persons.

Upon the bridal party leaving the office they were greeted with loud cheers, and at five p.m. about fifty of their friends were entertained by them at breakfast, which was got up in grand style at the Port Hotel. The health of the bride and bridegroom was proposed by Mr. C. Crowther, and drank in bumpers of champagne amidst much applause, by all present. [1]
