The Late Mrs M A. Smith. The death occurred on Saturday
after a long ill ness, of Mrs. Mary Ann Smith, of Francis Street. The deceased belonged to a family long connected with the district, and was greatly respected by a very wide circle of friends. Her husband predeceased her some years ago.
She was 69 years of age, and leaves a grown-up family of six sons and five daughters, besides many grandchildren. and great-grandchildren. The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, the Rev. Fr. Flavahan officiating. The mourners included the
sons aud her two brothers, Messrs. Daniel aud Tim Cream The pall bearers were T. M. DeLucey, P. Stone, F. H. Critch, R. Burton, J.Brindley, and J. C. Willcock, M.L.A.
