      NEWS OF THE DAY.
      We regret to announce that Mr. William Trigg, of Geraldton, is so seriously ill that his friends entertain but little hope of his recovery. Mr. Trigg reached Fremantle yesterday per Otway, and was conveyed to the residence of his sister, Mrs; Maycock, at Perth, as speedily as circumstances would permit. [1]
