    • A Northam correspondent writes that on December 30 Mr. John Stephen Monger, son of Mr. John Monger, was married to Miss Helena Mina Waldeck, youngest daughter of Mrs. E. Waldeck, of Northam. The ceremony was performed in the Wesleyan Church, in the presence of a large number of people, by the Rev.T.Finch.

The bride wore a pretty costume of - white silk, trimmed with rich silk lace and orange blossoms, her hat being of white tulle, trimmed with a large ostrich feather and plumes. Miss Bertha Monger, who acted as bridesmaid, wore white cashmere trimmed with green silk and ribbon.

The bride was given, away by her brother-in-law, Mr. Woolhouse. At the conclusion of the ceremony the party adjourned to the residence of. Mr. Woolhouse, where refreshments were partaken of, after which the newly married couple drove to their home at Newcastle.
