      DEATH OF AN OLD RESIDENT.

      The death of Mrs. Henrietta McConkey , of Rudd's Gully, at Geraldton, on Saturday morning, removes another of the fast-diminishing band of the oldest residents of the district. Her husband, the late John McConkey, died a few years ago. The deceased lady was highly respected, and was 75 years old at the time of death, which took place at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Dan Marsh, jun., where she had been laid up for some weeks. She was a sister of Mrs. John Taylor and Mr. H. E. Oakley, both of Geraldton.

      She reared a large family, amongst her sons and daughters being the following:

      The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon, the remains being interred in the Church of England Cemetery at Geraldton.
